Darlene Greene & Healing the Whole Body is a viable solution
Darlene, a retired US Navy commander, and the creator of
'The Returning Warrior Workshop'.
Darlene was aware of how little support service men and their families and partners got prior to, during, and after deployment, and this didn't sit well with her.
The purpose of the workshop was to help those returning and their families reintergrate, and Darlene was certain that the r servicemen had to be a major part of that solution.
We got facilitators from all around the world to come together to create a solution.
One must understand, this war isn't where the whole country goes to war; these are all separate battles and conflicts, where individuals go and meet their team to fight, and this isolation and going it alone has a very self-destructive, mental, and emotional impact.
This can lead to combatants feeling more comfortable in the conflict situations than back home with their families, and so Darlene knew this was probably the biggest obstacle to overcome.
Darlene came up with a wonderful concept, to create a simple thank you to both the servicemen and their spouses, something that no one had thought to do, but when you hear of it, it is a brilliant idea.
Darlene wanted people to know that going to war or having your loved one go to war, wasn't a normal day; it was a huge sacrifice and possibly life-threatening, and so allow oneself to feel whatever comes up for the individual.
to my audiences, where you are right now, is where you are meant to be. I understand that might sound harsh, but it's the rising from the ashes that empowers you to become a beacon of hope for others.
Can you imagine listening to Darlene? You feel empowered and challenged to step up and try to change your life and circumstances, and in only a short time, others come to you to ask you how you achieved your growth, and you share that with them, and suddenly, numerous lost souls are coming to you for direction. What would that feel like for you?
Darlene shares about her own trauma and grief, and despite it all, she always seems to want to help others with their pains and troubles.
We are blessed to have people like Darlene on this earth of ours.
Darlene suggests we should all look at light therapy, which wasn't the focus of our conversation, but appears to have been a bonus to us all.
