Walk in the Shoes of Your Inner Child

At this point in your recovery, it is time to visualize you standing in the shoes of your inner child. I am talking about bringing that concept of your younger self, into this present day and allowing them to view you destroying your life in the present, with the death, decay and disease of  a dead thing, their trauma event, they overcame for you, so that you might have a life today beyond their wildest dreams.

What would you say to them, in the most loving way you might possibly do so, to ask them to let you go, to return to your all your baggage, so you might step into the light and break free of this fallen world?
In you own words, how would you feel about this truth- can you picture your inner child, waiting patiently for you to come to your senses- to let them go?
This has always been an inside job.
you are not mentally ill, you know this.
Mind you all the medication you have taken, you might feel a little crazy at times, but you know you didnt start out insane.

Purgatory for Your Inner Child

In the Roman Catholic tradition Purgatory are for those souls, still tied to this fallen world, by some unforgiveable sin, that requires the intercessional prayers of those left behind to help them cross over.
I never accepted the idea that man had a part to play in others getting into  heaven; but  believe that those who die, cannot cross over into the light, until they have all their baggage.
This makes perfect sense to me; so much so; I realized the only way for me to make peace with my past, was when I gave up all the details and the baggage of what happened to that 12 year old child from more than 50 years ago, back to him.
He couldn't cross over into the light, becuase i had held him hostage by maintaining what happened  to him ,was mine to suffer and seek justice for,
I had taken him hostage by my actions, and self sabotaged my life in turn.
I was my own worst enemy
&
I was continuing to give life to his trauma: my actions betrayed him.
I learned I had to release my 12 year old inner child from the state of purgatory I can consigned him to unknowingly.
A sobering truth i needed to face, if i were to have any hope of a possible normal life today, and more importantly, it was time to stop holding my inner child, my younger self hostage and enable his to step into the light, to finally leave this plane of existence

Powerlessness and Unmanageability
In all 12 step traditions, the first step is to embrace this truth.

My Story

We are to learn from our past, the good and bad of it.
We are not to stay or dwell on the past at all
Our lives are in this moment in time, no other.
I learned this the hard way, I sought to find my meaning in the victimhood of my past lives. 
It was a serious mistake and it almost killed my spirit.
I understood what happened in my childhood happened to a your 12 year old child.
He suffered a Loss of Innocence.
I was a 52 year old man at that time of my spiritual awakening, it didnt happen to me and therefore it wasn't mine to suffer or to fix.
I had to find a way to return the details and baggage of the past back to that younger aspect of me, that 12 year old child.
This is the foundation stone that empowered my drive and conviction to create a healing practice where I got to give all of the event back to my younger self; and then to feel and see him leave this plane of existence

The Truth Shall Set You Free
We find our meaning, our purpose for living, for being here, by focusing all our attention and intention of the present , these 24 hours today, a gift from God.
God's name is I AM  and when we focus our lives on living in the I AM of today, we live abundantly in the present
When we focus on the  past, the I WAS state of existing, we bring the death, decay and disease of the past into the present, and it destroys me and every person and thing in my life.
When I focus on the future state of  I WILL BE, I bring the anxiety and fear of the unknown future  into the present, and it destroys everything in the present.
When you first came for help, you were sane, you have the clarity and forethought  to seek a solution.
your therapist diagnosed you with a mental illness, a mental disorder.
The truth was, a younger aspect of you, was the victim of a past trauma memory, the person who caused the trauma, that would be the insane person, but that isn't you

Trauma Recovery Anonymous is the Same, Same but Different

Trauma  Recovery Anonymous is the latest 12 step program designed from the 12 step program of Alcoholics Anonymous. 
There are no dues or fee to join, but new members need to have more than a desire to heal.
This is an action program and to become a member of this fellowship and a new creation, we understand what happened in the past didnt happen to the person we are today.
It's none of our business and we must first return all of the baggage of the past back to its rightful owner, our younger self, our inner child if you will.
We are obliged to allow them to leave this plane of existence with all their baggage and to step into the light, into the mansion prepared for them by the Father.
By completing the first part of this process, the two hour healing event, we give all of it back to our younger self.
We cast out the demons of the event
We cast out the demons we accumulated over time
We slay the dragons of the past
We break free of the shackles and bondage of a past not ours to suffer
We are open and ready to break free of the disorder they were misdiagnosed with.
